There should be a yearly award for the dumbest member of congress. There are so many contenders it would be hard to determine who is the dumbest overall. However, the main purpose of this site is to chronicle what the powerful say and hold them accountable for their actions. Therefore, the statements of the “honorable” Representative Hank Johnson, democrat Georgia, deserves to be preserved.
This is an oldie, but since the protagonist is halfway through his 9th term in congress, his moronic statement needs to be remembered. Thanks to Turning Point USA for putting this masterpiece of stupidity together. Rep. Johnson is definitively a contender for the Dumbest Member of Congress award.
