As the violence in Chicago continued, the (now former) mayor Lightfoot dances to her defeat. Her public statements about President Trump and Supreme Court Justice Thomas were unprofessional, ignorant and could still predicate violence. When questioned about the violence in Chicago she would get angry and threaten reporters. This behavior was unacceptable, but consistent during her one and only term as Mayor of Chicago.
Now that she’s lost re-election, let’s see if Chicago picks a better replacement in the April runoff. This Lightfoot experiment was a disaster, and she won’t be missed.
